Edex Dosage Question
Question:
I just finished my first box of Edex…..and now I’m heading off to the drugstore for a refill with a big smile on my face. But I have a question: My doctor prescribed Edex 10 and told me to use one vial per injection which is 1 milliliter of liquid after it’s mixed with the powder……so I’m injecting (painless, btw) 1 mL of Edex 10. If I were to inject .25 mL of Edex 40 would that be the same dosage? Certainly would make the prescription last longer!
Yes and it certainly reduces the cost per injection. Also experiment with less than the full dose prescribed. You may get just as good an erection with half or less. You will not know until you try it. I get up to 10 injections per vile with Edex 40. Also the 6 vile box of Edex is cheaper per vile than the 4 vile kit. The kits include needles which can be purchased much more cheaply than the extra cost included in the kit.

40 mcg per ml would work out to 10 mcg per .25 ml. You have to keep the rest of the solution refridgerated however. The way I do it with Caverject and now Edex which I just tried is put the vial in a large pill bottle to make sure nothing in the fridge spills on it. Edex didn’t give me the dull pain that Caverject does and the mixing of the Edex was almost instant. The best part of it is the needles packaged with Edex are not nails! It comes with a 30 and a 27.5. I used the 30.

Thanks, Ed…..I use the 27.5 gauge needle for injecting the liquid into the vial and the 30 gauge for actual injection. The nurse told me that puncturing the rubber stopper on the vial dulls the needle and if you use the same needle, it causes pain. The sharper, the better! Mike

You’re going to find that both the makers of Edex and Caverject and most docs will tell you that you can’t use the left over solution and it must be discarded. However it has been pryed out of Upjohn, the makers of Caverject that there is a preservative in the mixture that will allow it to keep for 72 hours without refridgeration and up to 2 weeks in the fridge. I am only assuming that this is also true with Edex. Again I think that this a totally a liabilty issue as Upjohn has also stated that they are worried about infection if the remaining solution is used without first wiping the stopper with alcohol before drawing it into the syringe. The guys that use PPP do this and have no problems with storing their medicines for up to 3 months. Again I think the lawyers have companies running scared. Profit probably has a bit to do with it also.

One other comment……as we all know, thinking about an erection is the worst thing you can do….my experience to date is that using the Edex gives me great confidence in my erections and I’ve had several very good erections without any medicine….just because I’ve quit thinking about it!
